You drew an appearance that mirrors the personality of the character almost flawlessly. yogave enough info for someone to make assumptions and hook a person to see the story. You also provide enough but not too much info to overwhelm the reader. exactly what you need to explain a character. The media, pencil and black ink? Anyway, beautifully done, I look forward to seeing your story.

Still amazing

I'm not surprised that you make mistakes, hell i make a ton of mistakes when I sketch but when it's done you can't even tell that they were there. it's all about how you recover from it, and you did one hell of a good job the wrinkles don't even do anything or take away from this. in fact it almost seems like a demon from European folklore. Awesome illustration, btw have you learned or gotten any good experience in those classes?

Took things into a completely new direction huh? What kind of company is using this logo? Overall it's still good and well polished. It is quite interesting and a breath of "fresh" air compared to your deviantism. I do not know how some people will react though, I personally have no problems with it. Artists have to do what they need to survive.

:-) thanks, thou you are right. I'm glad you like it anyways... More "not like this" will come. As you said: "Artists have to do what they need to survive" :-) It's for a small painting company, that paint houses and so on. They have it on their car and website, so I get a bit attention and publicity ;-)

You have a decent base on your work that is a great starting point. keep at it, I know I have had a lot of trouble with human anatomy before and a book called Human anatomy made amazingly easy helped out a lot.

I knew it!

I knew I wasn't the only one that was stuck using school as a crutch to post on NG. (I'm poor like that and can't afford the scanner). What media did you use? looks like marker. Please be specific because this would be very helpful to me, i'm a bit of a newb at scanners. Still, good pic, like the girl and the setting is interesting. Even without an additional background nothing is really lost here. Only flaw is that the scanner didn't quite catch all of her.

I used a 0.5 mechanical pencil, inked with a black fine-liner and sharpie marker, and colored with prismacolor art markers.

Impressive!

overall I love the horror/gothic look. the border is awesome, the darkness creeping in upon her with just a little bit of light in all of that sorrow, or hatred, depending upon how you take it. the chains are well done and is she crying blood? At any rate, it is superb but I can't help but feel that something is off, it's probably just me though. Reminds me to post the pic I did of Rena.

as for the exact mood, it's suppose to be Depression, being the focus of rena's torture and isolation.... and No, she's not crying blood... what she's crying exactly, I couldn't tell you. I just made it black because I thought it fit well with everthingy else being dark and in gray-scale

I always wonder what new kind of thing you will draw, and you never disappoint. This reminds me of a horror story where a guy tries to chop down a tree and ends up becoming one. Still, amazing job, i still feel that someting is missing but i can't put my finger on it.
